Four ways people may gather around books and writing.
Instructor-led study for writers at different stages, from focused workshops to multi-week classes.
↗ Manuscript readingA future path for bounded reading by a named person under written terms.
↗ Lectures + readingsAuthor readings, public lectures, conversations, panels, and book-centered events.
↗ Programs with organizationsLiterary programs developed for libraries, bookstores, presses, festivals, tribal organizations, and community groups.
↗Current status
Nothing here is open for registration yet.
The pages on this site explain the program being developed. They do not create an enrollment, reserve a place, or promise that a particular class, reading, or consultation will be offered.
The person doing the work will be named.
Each confirmed class, reading, or manuscript service will identify the instructor, speaker, or reader responsible for it. No one will be presented as part of Talty Literary before agreeing to specific work.
Morgan Talty founded and directs the program. Other instructors and speakers will be named only when their work is confirmed.

Sustained reading, writing, discussion, and revision with one instructor and group.
Readings, lectures, panels, and conversations with clearly stated participation and access details.
Private manuscripts require a clear, human line of responsibility.
No manuscript-reading service is currently available. Before one opens, Talty Literary will name the reader and publish the scope, fee, timing, response, privacy terms, and file-handling path.
- The writer keeps authority over the work.
- The named reader is responsible for the response.
- Files are not accepted through a general inquiry.
- The complete boundary appears in the Manuscript Policy.
